We've been growing Delicate plum for several years and decided to offer it. It is an impressive European plum (Prunus Domestica) originating from Russia. It produces purple fruits with golden flesh and a semi-freestone pit. Sweet, juicy, and firm, it is ideal for fresh eating and preserves.
Self-fertile and ready to harvest by late August in most years, with fruits around 5-6 cm (~2") in diameter. Delicate is precocious, fruiting a year or two earlier than other plums. Reliably grown in Zone 3, it's an excellent choice for orchardists looking to add a European plum variety to their collection.
